There is are major differences between ladders that are meant for use in homes and those that are meant as industrial ladders. The biggest difference this makes to your life is that an industrial ladder could be used at home, but a commercial ladder would not be able to do everything that industrial ladders can.
If you take a look at a commercial ladder you will see that it is generally tall enough to reach to the roof of a single storey house. Industrial ladders tend to be a lot longer. This is because this latter type of ladder will be used in warehouses to reach the top shelves that may be much higher than the rook of a single storey house. in fact some kinds of industrial ladder can have attachments added to them that can make them a lot taller so that you can climb up them to get to the second or third storey or even attach them to scaffolding so that this is easier to climb.
Commercial ladders can easily be folded and put away in a room or corner. Industrial ladders are a little too large for that kind of thing. They are often actually attached to the shelves they are being used on or else have to be completely dismantled to be moved around with any kind of ease.
There is very little that is the same when it comes to commercial and industrial ladders. The only real similarity is that they are used to get up higher than a normal human being could reach. Both are extremely useful items to have either in your home or in your warehouse or scaffolding business though because of this similarity. Depending on what you are going to want to do with the ladder you will need to get one or the other kind. If you are only going to use it at home, then a commercial ladder will do just fine. If you own a warehouse and want your workers to be able to get to the top shelves then you are going to need an adjustable industrial ladder.
